Bristow Gin’s new Packaging

Bristow Gin is made and owned by Cathead Distillery. Since Bristow Gin was never intended on being a product for market originally, we never approached the packaging for the trade.  This new packaging should fall into distribution in mid July 2015.  We are proud to be working with the design team at Hook USA for the new and past packaging for Bristow Gin.

Bristow Gin’s Story:

Bristow Gin’s original intention was to be a gift long before it was ever intended on becoming a brand.  Richard Patrick, Co-founder of Cathead Distillery wanted to make a gin for his grandfather-in-law-to-be, Judge Bristow.  After their first meeting when the Judge learned that Richard did not make gin, the Judge replied “well, then what good are you to me”.  So as a good gesture of sorts Richard made an english style gin and presented it to the Judge right before he married his granddaughter.  The Judge had few words for the gift at the time, except to first sip, then drain his glass, slam it on the table and then state “I’ll have another.”

Tasting Notes

from Phillip Ladner, Master Distiller:

Bristow Gin is a sophisticated blend that has subtle yet pure flavors that come together gracefully. On the nose, it has a noticeable aroma of juniper and citrus tempered by a suggestion of pepper (herbal spices). In the mouth, the cassia bark, clove and licorice mingle together brilliantly for a wonderful taste experience. Lemon verbena balances out the juniper flavors and allows Bristow Gin to finish smooth and sweet.”
